Fulfillment

Hi ya’ll. I know it has been a long time since I wrote something. I have been planning to write a few things, but a lot has been going on in my personal life that I never expected would happen and it kind of impacted my daily life. Although I do want to talk about it, I think I will be talking about it at a later time.

So with that said, a little update on what I have been doing. So I did not expect to grow so much in this short amount of time and I want to thank everyone for supporting me! I have been doing a lot of collaborations and they all have been so fun and amazing! for this post I will talk about some events I did, labor day weekend BBQ, and my future plans and goals coming into 2020. I will be going in order to catch you all up on what I have been doing so far for the summer~

Tancha Tea House Giveaway:

So I did a small collaboration with Tancha Teahouse, they were very nice enough to send me complimentary coupons for free drinks. So I had to hit up one of my close friends and photographer Jon Mok (I will tag his Instagram at the end) to assist me in photo shooting. We attended the San Gabriel Tancha location, they have a great indoor set up that is very nice. If you never had Tancha, they specialize in a delicious Cream puff foam topping on their teas. My favorite drink from Tancha is the Royal Ceylon Milk Tea with Tiramisu Puff Cream, highly recommend it!!

FoodBeast Noods Beach Festival:

So fast forward to Labor Day Weekend, FoodBeast was having a huge Noodle Festival in Huntington Beach. A lot of different locations were participating. FoodBeast was kind enough to give me two free tickets, sadly since this was so last minute for me, I was not able to get a media pass since they were out of passes for Media. But the free admission was very nice of them!

Maruchan was hosting free noodles at the event which was really cool. They are releasing two new flavors , a soy ramen and spicy ramen. I really loved the spicy one, which is the one I tried at the festival, and they gave a free pack of the other one you didn’t order to take home!

I actually made the other pack at home recently, and added a soft boiled egg with veggies. Maruchan really did well with their sauce packets, definitely will be a hit.

I did not get to try many locations sadly, since I had to rush over to a family BBQ for labor day weekend, but I do want to shout out @ThaiFarmHouse. Their spicy tornado noodles were freaking amazing!! I opted for extra chili as you can see in my Instagram post, the spiciness was unreal, but so addicting. Sadly they aren’t located in So Cal, but when I go up North I definitely am planning to stop by their restaurant. Check the Instagram post below to learn more about them!!

Labor Day Family BBQ:

My uncle was throwing BBQ for Labor Day Weekend, so after Noods Beach I went straight to his wife’s family’s house to celebrate the weekend. Almost all my family members are excellent cooks and my uncle is definitely one of those people. For the BBQ the menu consisted up of:

  • Tri-Tip Steak
  • BBQ Ribs
  • White Fish (Forgot from where or if it even was white fish)
  • Sausages
  • Calamari – home made from my Aunt
  • 7 Layer Bean Dip – home made from my aunt’s family
  • Basic Salad Mix

My uncle has his own recipe for his BBQ ribs which came out amazing, loved eating them. Also the Bean dip is a must, next time I will ask for the recipe to share with y’all. Didn’t really care for the sausages since they were just regular sausages you get from the store. Also is it weird that I eat my BBQ with rice. I have to have rice with every dish except maybe like burgers or something. I assume this is probably because I am Asian and grew up eating rice everyday, I can’t live without it. Anyways enjoy some pics from the BBQ~

Cup O’ Joy Collaboration:

Cup O’ Joy Marketing Representative recently invited me to visit their location to try some of their drinks and food. Definitely glad I accepted because I was blown away by their drinks and their Delicious menu options. Upon arrival I met with Donee (the marketing rep) and Tim (Store Manager). Donee was so sweet and I really loved working with her. Tim the manager was one of the coolest people ever! Him and I actually spoke for a few hours in regards to cooking and we exchanged business stories and recipes.

So this boba spot is located right by USC and they specialize in their customizable drinks and traditional Taiwanese foods. I highly suggest ordering their Strawberry Lemon Mint Green Tea. I am addicted to that and really want to go get more. I also recommend their tenders and fries, it’s so delicious. Their Cookies and Cream milk shake is also really good. If you are a coffee lover, please try their salted cream coffee. They way they make their salted cream is freaking amazing. I was able to talk to the manager about it, sadly I won’t be able to tell you their secret, but it was the best salted cream coffee I have ever tasted. Also Thank you Jon for helping me with the photo shoot, make sure y’all follow his Instagram which I will tag at the end, here is some of my favorite shots taken:

Thank you again Donee for inviting us and hope to speak with you and Tim again!!!

Summer’s End:

So that is pretty much the big stuff I did over the Summer. I still have a few more collaborations to do and also Yelp Elite events. I am hoping to attend one next week, but still waiting on RSVP confirmation so hopefully I get in. Some other stuff I will be doing, is flying out to Reno again to meet with my friend David to shoot a new video collaboration with Boil Boss, Boba Plus in Arcadia has invited me to check out their location, my cousin’s birthday is coming up and he asked me to set up a photo booth, so I will be building that. I also am planning to start venturing into YouTube soon which will be exciting!! Also I will be going to Canada in April!! Anyways below, is Jon Mok’s Instagram and please stay tuned for more.
